Civil Engineering Contractor in the Western Cape

Roads, bridges, bulk services and water infrastructure, built with our own plant and civil crews.

What is civil engineering and infrastructure?

Civil engineering construction covers the roads, bridges, pipelines and water infrastructure that buildings and communities depend on. Ironveld holds a CIDB Grade 9 CE registration, which allows us to tender for public civil works of any value.

Our civil division delivers roadworks, interchanges, bulk water and sewer lines, stormwater systems and treatment works. We own most of our earthmoving plant, which keeps programmes in our control.

We work for metropolitan and district municipalities, provincial roads authorities and private developers who need bulk services for new developments.

How much does civil engineering and infrastructure cost?

Civil engineering works are almost always priced from a schedule of quantities prepared by the employer’s engineer, so the price depends on the measured work, site conditions and the contract programme. Ground conditions, traffic accommodation, rock excavation and service relocations are the largest cost variables. For private bulk services we can provide budget pricing from preliminary layouts within ten working days.
