A Cape Town building and civil engineering contractor, founded in 1998 and still led by engineers.
Ironveld Construction was founded in Bellville in 1998. Today we employ 420 people, operate our own plant fleet and have completed more than 640 projects.
We work as main contractor on commercial, industrial, civil and refurbishment projects between R2 million and R400 million. Our head office is in Cape Town, with site teams across the province.
Founded in Bellville by a team of six, focused on civil works for local municipalities.
Achieved CIDB Grade 9 CE and opened the building division.
Completed our first design and build distribution centre, now our largest sector.
Certified to ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001.
Passed 640 completed projects and 1.2 million square metres of industrial space.
Mission and values
Our mission is to build safely, deliver what we promise and leave every site better than we found it.
No programme or budget justifies an injury. Every person on our sites has the authority to stop unsafe work, and every incident is investigated within 24 hours.
We check our own work before the client does. Quality inspections are built into every stage, which keeps rework below 1 percent of contract value.
Clients get a named project manager, a weekly report and straight answers. When something changes, we tell you the same day.
We recycle at least 70 percent of site waste by weight, and design and build for lower running costs and energy use.

We are members of the Master Builders Association Western Cape and follow its code of conduct.
Our health and safety policy commits every manager to zero harm. Every site has a full-time safety officer, a daily task risk assessment and a weekly safety walk by a director.
