Project overview

The challenge

The client needed a regional distribution centre ready for occupation before the peak retail season, on a site with variable ground conditions.

Our approach

We delivered the project under a design and build contract. Ground improvement, steel erection and floor slab pours were sequenced in overlapping zones so the building was weathertight within six months.

The outcome

The tenant moved in two weeks ahead of programme. The building achieved a 4-Star Green Star design rating, with rainwater harvesting and a roof designed for a 1.2 megawatt solar installation.

Ironveld gave us one point of contact from the first sketch to occupation. The building was ready two weeks early, which made our peak season possible.
