A family wine estate wanted a tasting room that felt like a home rather than a shop, but could handle tour buses on Saturdays.
We zoned the space into a tasting bar, lounge seating and a retail wall, with a garden terrace beyond. Barrel oak, leather and clay tones reflect the cellar and the vineyards.
Weekend visitor numbers grew by 35 percent in the first season, and average spend per visitor rose by 18 percent.
It feels like our family home, and it works on our busiest days. Visitors stay longer and buy more wine.
